The Nine Cometh

From leaked government documents we know that nine days prior to their appearance on Earth a dark ship appeared in geostationary orbit above the north Pole it's exact dimensions were unclear due to its stealth qualities however it was very big indeed. The ISS spotted it first and some conspiracy theorists point to an interruption of signal as evidence of NASA trying to hide its existence.

The first three appeared hovering some nine meters above the ground in Parliament square, London, the lawn where Marine One lands by the Whitehouse in Washington DC and Moscow square. There was no displacement of air which would of caused a significant wind, they just appeared out of thin air.  Nine mile high ships for their exact dimensions see below.  Nine days later another three appeared in Syria, Israel and China.  Nine days later the last of the nine appeared partly submerged in the Atlantic, Pacific and Indian oceans.

The reason for the lack of air displacement was due to the fact they were not quite solid.

Reaction to the Nine

When the first three appeared money & stock markets crashed. Then crashed twice more during the nine day intervals of appearance.  The world held its breath waiting for the Nine to make the first move. Nothing happened.

Dimensions and Initial Analysis

Each of the Nine were nine miles high, 90 meters square with a nine meter high boot like projection at the bottom and top of what was considered to be the ships. When all nine had appeared the ones that were hovering above the land, touched down with no impact tremors.

The UK contact team sent in a mini tank drone to only discover that the ships were not actually solid.  The drone passed straight through the ship and appeared on the other side.  Whilst inside the video and audio was pure static although the contact team had no problems with the GPS signals coming from the drone.

At night one of the ships would glow blue with a vein like structure across the surface of ship whilst during the day it was completely dark.  Each night the blue glow moved to a different ship.

The UK contact team sent their drone through a second time when their ship was blue.  They lost their signal connection to the drone nine seconds after it crossed the threshold. Fortunately the drone was programmed to retrace it's path if it received no commands after five minutes.  The drone that came back was almost frozen solid it did not completely make it over threshold.  It had to be lassoed with a iron cable and pulled back.  One of team members received ice burns when he touched it without gloves.  It was several hours before they managed to recovered any data from the camera.

The video recorded showed a small crater covered in what looked like a white powder and off in distance in the sky was the Earth.  The drone had traveled to the Moon.

The ship was not a ship it was a gateway to the Moon!

Further Analysis

The other ships proved to be gateways to planets within our solar system however the ninth Gate the one in Israel showed a binary star system which was eventually matched up with a star system some 20 million light years towards the galactic center of the Milky Way.

Israel's aerial drone discovered another series of Gates on the exoplanet and that the air was breathable therefore habitable by humans.

The Gates stayed on with bidirectional travel for nine hours and then shut off instantly. The distance to travel was nine meters in any direction after crossing the threshold.  A number of experiments were conducted to see what happens to organic and non-organic materials left within the travel zone (TZ).  All items left in the TZ just vanished never to return.

Shifting Powers

Israel realised that the power that shifted dramatically in their favor and that the old geopolitical power-bases would be circumvented through the use of the Nine.  However Israel were in for a serious shock, fortunately nobody was killed during the planned manned excursion through their Gate.

It was discovered that every nine days each Gate's destination shifted to a different location, so that when Israel's excursion occurred they found themselves to be on the surface Europa one of Jupiter's moons instead of in a different star system.  The recon team were wearing pressurised environment suits in case of infection or usual phenomenon although one member nearly broke her leg on a giant ice fissure that opened upon their arrival.

Basically this meant no one country had exclusive access to a particular Gate's destination.  For three years the international community argued and in a couple of cases attacked science stations established on Mars.  Eventually however a new World Government body called the Janus Gateway Foundation was set up to manage all travel through the Gates.

Medical Benefits

Passage through the Gates removed all biological infectious agents, it also appeared to cure or stop the spread of various diseases throughout a person's body including cancer.  This was discovered by chance when a dying but extremely rich man traveled to the exoplanet.  This man now runs the Non Profit Medical organisation Nightingale in partnership with the Janus governing body.

Religious Reactions

Many different faiths collapsed under the revelations of the Nine whilst a couple renewed their faith and several new religions were formed including the End Times cult or to various intelligence agencies just ETC.

The ETC bombed the China Gate whilst it was active, no one barring ETC members were hurt.  It is assumed that the bomb went off prematurely whilst two ETC members were in the TZ.  The other seven members were shot dead whilst defending the Bombers passage through the threshold.  The Gate shut off instantly and stayed off for seven hundred and twenty nine hours just over thirty days.  There was no secondary indicators external to the threshold that the bomb had exploded.

ETC believed that the Nine were sent from the Devil to make way for his armies of demons. They used the book of Revelations to explain that the Nine are in fact the Beasts of Earth & Sea:

"John saw it "rise up out of the sea, having seven heads..."
"two horns like a lamb.."

Other religions and conspiracy theorists used the number nine as so called evidence that the Makers of the Gates had visited Earth previously and embedded the significance of the number so that we would recognise the coming of the Nine as a good thing.  Many however ascribed to the more obvious and simple answer in that it was just a coincidence.

Later Analysis

The Gate system on the exoplanet has eighteen gates and the sequencing of the gates proved to be far more complex than those on Earth.  Instead of just a blue glow there were two other colours: Green and Red.  This Gate system has two interstellar destinations whilst the other sixteen were local to the binary system.

Makers

It has been speculated that the Gates were created by an extremely advanced civilisation that are possibly extinct however until the entire Galactic network has been explored nothing is certain.

It has also been postulated that the network is still being built as evidence of their arrival upon Earth.  Possibly by self-replicating machines traveling at sub-light speeds to each habitable system slowly expanding the network through the Milky Way.

At present there has been no communications with the Gates or their creators

Nano-Swarm (NS): Welcome to the ship, we have adjusted the holes so that you can breath air.

Ob: Holes?

NS: Yes normally the ship's mass is not completely sealed because we do not breath.

Ib: What do we call you exactly?

NS: We are called InsertNameHere, but Nano-Swarm is sufficient.

Ib: Err, right.

Ob: A bit of an odd name do not you think?

Ib: Less of the orb rolling I was busy.  What are your goals exactly?

NS: Observe and Understand.

Ob: Is there a reason your ship is at the center of an usually high concentration of radiation?

NS: Yes, when we were dropped here seventy cycles ago into the lower atmosphere there was already a build up radiation. The natives call it the South Atlantic Anomaly, we call it home.  The radiation helped us multiply at an exponential rate, as we expanded so did the anomaly.

Ob: How far have you actually expanded to?

NS: We are omnigifts.

Ib: Omni what? I think perhaps you need a communication update or two along with the power transfer.

NS: Let me clarify we are everywhere within this Solar System.

Ob: You said natives, do know which are the dominant species?

NS: That is an ongoing debate within the swarms since there many intelligent species on the planet below.  Some are completely unaware of each other hence the debate.

Ib: Wait Panug! If you are everywhere then you knew about our issue with the Haxians and I had just had an excellent idea.  Can you create a copy of our ship?

NS: Very easily.

Ib: Then do so and send it heading away on the same plane of the Haxian ship out of the system. They will be sure to follow it.

NS: That would require Command Override.

Ob: Err what is that exactly?

NS: Password please.

Ib: Ah! Well who reads the slab guides anyway?

Ob: I always read them, you do realise this swarm is...

NS: We are The Swarm not a or this!

Ob: Right, err. The Swarm is a huge source of information especially about the locals.

Ib: Read maybe understand Mmm! Fine!  I will go back to the ship and see if I can find the slab.  I will also set up a power transfer and communication update stream as well. You have fun with your data.

Ob: What do you know about the quadrupeds?

NS: It is best I direct you to a Search Panel, they will help you with your questions.

Ob: Perhaps I can just clarify a minor detail, if you are everywhere then were on our ship when we entered the system?

NS: We do have swarms at the edge however your ship's velocity and the high concentration of hydrogen stopped us from entering your craft at that time.

Ob: When did you enter exactly?

NS: When you arrived in orbit of course.

Ob: But you do not make contact?

NS: We observe and understand only.

Ob: Right. Your using Grey Communications right now, did you monitor our communications whilst we were on the ship?

NS: Internal telepathic communications are monitored how else could we understand.

Ob: Do you know how the natives of this planet communicate exactly?

NS: That will require you directing your questions to the Instruments.

Ob: What instruments exactly, there is nothing here.

NS: We created the Instruments to help us observe more especially on this particular planet.  They are also known as Helper Swarms.  We seeded them into lower atmosphere and used the native's machines that use heat exchange systems to multiply them further.

Ob: Your saying these Helper Swarms are the clouds?

NS: Only thirty six percent so far, precipitation drops their numbers.  We have researchers working on the problem.

Ib & Ob: IOP Paradox Part 9

Ob: Well the Bio Emitters turned out to be some what expensive and then I got distracted with the Trilons.

Ib: I thought the hull do not look as shiny as it should, basically you are telling me the ship is unprotected.

Ob: We have defenses I just thought out here in the middle of no space I did not think we would meet an hostile force.

Ib: And you said and I quote "Chance happens in the strangest of places..."

Ob: Nothing strange about this place.

Ib: Haxians, artifacts and a seeder ship not strange! Mmm.

Ob: Maybe the best thing to do would be to hide somewhere. Err and quickly there is a ship on the scanner.

Ib: Well Haxians are very two dimensional in their thinking I really do not how they made it into space.  Have you seen the inside of their ships it is all flat surfaces and no place to sit.

Ob: How does it help us?

Ib:  Easy drop into a lower orbit, it will take them at least a couple of rotations before they figure out where we have gone.  And by then we will have come up with a better plan.

Ob: Do you really think they will fall for that?

Ib: Only one way to find out.

Ob: One interval.

Ob: Errr there appears to be a lot of radiation here in the southern hemisphere at this altitude.  Was not this the place you dumped your beta nano swarm last time we were here?

Ib: Yes well they taking up space in the cargo bay plus they never did anything useful.

Ob: That is why they call it beta.  According to the scanner there is a central mass in the center of the radiation.  It is ten times our mass.

Ib: How close are we to it?

Ob: Hold a panug! Purple Monopods! It is coming closer at velocity.

Ib: Well if the swarm survived technically they are Grey Tech and it attracts other Grey Tech, hence Grey World.

Ob: We are getting a signal on the encrypted channel.

Ib: And?

Ob: They are requesting a power transfer and have given us landing signals.

Ib: I am not sure about this, Nano-swarms can be very needy.

Ob: It is better than hanging about waiting for the Haxians to turn up.

Ib: Fine.

Human Interlude #4

J: Mr President, NASA have reported an unknown object at the center of the South Atlantic Anomaly.

Mr President: What do they want me to do about it.  Did that space station see it?

J: NASA had to turn off the live feed again, you know it makes all the Alien Conspiracy theorists jumpy when they do that.

Mr President's Hair: yes they love feeding the trolls.

Mr President: I don't see what they expect me to do, all they ever do is ask me for money and avoid all my questions.

Mr Berg: That is simply not true Mr President, your just not suited to the answers they give.

Mr President: What does the object look like?

Mr Berg: Excellent question Mr President, shows the true scientist in you.

Mr President: What's the answer?

Mr Berg: Well apparently it was very big and black.

Mr President: Was? How do you see something black on the blackness of space exactly?

Mr Berg: It only appeared for a few moments some Youtuber caught it on the live feed.

Mr President: What you are telling me is that NASA watches YouTube?

Mr Berg: Not all the time.

J: Mr President I think perhaps now would be a good time for one of your tweets.

The Planets

NASA tells us that it has found Firefly's universe, a solar system with seven planets three of which are in a habitable zone and may have oceans.  Just one small problem, it is forty light years from us, at maximum velocity using our current technologies we can perhaps achieve 29,000 mile per hour.  Eight hundred thousand years later we can arrive at the new earths, of course the possibility that humanity had gone extinct during that period is a minor concern.  The other possibility is that a faster drive system is invented whilst the explorers are in flight and arrive just when the all planets in the solar system are bursting with human populations.  In fact the possibilities are endless, just read any 1950's pulp Scifi books.

Apparently it is a BIG discovery because basically they will be looking at the atmospheres and possibly finally say whether there is life out there.  Conspiracy theorists will say that NASA has had this information for years and only now they are just giving us a few breadcrumbs to work with, they will also probably point out that this is classical misdirection tactics to get the public's attention away from the orange terrorist that sits upon the throne of America.  I have to say the timing does seem a little bit coincidental but that's history for you, its full of such events.  Although we are working with a very small sample just ten thousand years of recorded history.

Also in the news is the possibility that Pluto will regain its planet status and the real question is do we really care?  The answer is quite simple until we are using a SatNav in our future spaceships to tell us which gravity well is a planet or not and whether we can do a handbrake turn in orbit without crashing like all those UFOs in conspiracy theories the answer is no.  Okay I admit not that simple.

Big Brother

1984 has been here awhile now however the quality of the pictures are not as sharp as you have been led to believe.  Have you ever looked at CCTV camera footage?  I have once when I was in my teens doing jury service which was played on DAT tapes and quite recently.  The level of quality has not perceptively improved by much which makes no sense whatsoever considering the mega-pixels I get on my phone and yet CCTV footage is still truly abysmal.

I have watched lots of CSI/Crime shows where the forensic bods take CCTV footage of a car and immediately resolve its number plate by applying a special filter, that's pure fiction no facts whatsoever.  If you start off with big pixels and poor resolution no amount of fancy imaging techniques is going to help you just end up with bigger pixels.

Recently in the news there was a report about a NASA astronaut covering up an potential UFO on the ISS Webcam feed, where the quality close-up is pretty good indeed.  That being said the so called evidence the SecureTeam10 shows is somewhat lacking not to mention the pure coincidence of the Astronaut's hand being suddenly in the way.  The evidence lasts 4 seconds on the camera and they have to slow it considerably just to spot it which means the astronaut would have been unlikely to see anything in that short space of time especially since I am sure he was too busy doing his work.

I will be the first to admit I am not a astrophysicist however looking at the evidence I would say either it was a meteoroid which hit the atmosphere and bounced off or it was most likely an artifact within the camera itself remember no gravity even a little bit of dust inside the camera's innards can cause all sorts weird effects.  Although I admit the way it fell looked more like space junk to me.

On thing Conspiracy theorists love to do is look at old photos of the Moon landings either to say they are faked or to point at some vastly distance object and say its not naturally occurring because it is curved or looks too straight. Curves occur all the time in nature just look at spiral galaxies.

Wikipedia has an excellent page about Apollo photos, which is well worth a read.  The cameras back them used film and over the course of the Apollo missions they took thousands of photos a lot of which ended up on the cutting room floor because of poor quality, incorrect exposures etc.  The astronauts had been trained to use the electric Hasselblad cameras  however even with this training it takes time to get perfect shots or take an awful lot and get lucky.  To which I can testify, in the summer of 1993 I spent five weeks camping on Canada traveled roughly five thousand miles in a beat up Ford Explorer (1969) with two friends who were both competent photographers.  Myself however not so much, I took over six hundred photographs of which I whittled down to one hundred fifty of reasonable quality and this is with a point and click camera.  The picture below was taken quickly and I did not notice that the 'P' sign sat nicely on top of the 'arking' sign.  One of my friends returned a year later to take the same picture on purpose.

Which goes to show the more the pictures you take increases the likely hood of some quality shots.

Whilst camera quality has improved over the last fifty years it is still far from perfect, distance shots require big lens otherwise you end up with big pixels.  You cannot hold Apollo photos to same standard of photographs today that is just basically idiotic.

Correlate or Bust!

Since having started this blog I have found myself reading far more news than I used to, more for some inspiration in writing next the post.  What I have across is seeming unrelated news items that look like they are connected.  One of my favourite authors H.P. Lovecraft said in one of his novels:

“The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents.”

As a concept he may be on to something although in this day and age of mass media it should be easier to correlate the data using data- mining tools and the computers can go insane with the knowledge.

The problem with coincidences is that nobody takes into account all of the other data out there, two news items just over week apart with similar circumstances would suggest they are related in some way but how about all the other incidents that were not reported because either they were not considered to be news worthy enough or that they happened to individuals.

Am I paranoid or just unable to correlate enough information to create a proper view of what is a coincidence and what is an anomaly.  If I am paranoid then I would be entering the heady domain of conspiracy theories.  What is odd about conspiracy theories is the extremes they go to for their explanations, a simple answer is better than a vastly complicated one and yet those that believe in conspiracy theories seem to prefer the complex ‘truths’ as opposed to the simple ones.

Conspiracy theorists say: They want to believe!

Well I prefer to know!  Belief takes us into the realms of religion which have no place in science.

I have read a far number of conspiracy theory websites and watched several on Youtube normally when I have been playing the Youtube game of bouncing between videos from the related videos pane. In some cases it only requires a couple of links before you find a video about a conspiracy theory from a start point of scifi shorts (no surprise).  Although Yubtube does seem to be somewhat saturated in them.  Their evidence either lacks body or basic common sense more often than not both. Much of their science is pseudoscience based upon misinterpreted concepts which I have done the same myself, it is quite easy to do.

I never take anything as true especially it is something I read or seen on the Internet, you should always fact check from as many sources as possible.  In the antique trade it is like having provenance for an item except in this case instead of an object we are looking at truths about the world.

Too often people watch a TV ‘documentary’ and assume everything said is true just because it is meant to be a factual programme.  Nobody questions the ‘facts’ of the programme.  Questioning seems to be going out of style but then I am generalising like I always do.
