The Planets

NASA tells us that it has found Firefly's universe, a solar system with seven planets three of which are in a habitable zone and may have oceans.  Just one small problem, it is forty light years from us, at maximum velocity using our current technologies we can perhaps achieve 29,000 mile per hour.  Eight hundred thousand years later we can arrive at the new earths, of course the possibility that humanity had gone extinct during that period is a minor concern.  The other possibility is that a faster drive system is invented whilst the explorers are in flight and arrive just when the all planets in the solar system are bursting with human populations.  In fact the possibilities are endless, just read any 1950's pulp Scifi books.

Apparently it is a BIG discovery because basically they will be looking at the atmospheres and possibly finally say whether there is life out there.  Conspiracy theorists will say that NASA has had this information for years and only now they are just giving us a few breadcrumbs to work with, they will also probably point out that this is classical misdirection tactics to get the public's attention away from the orange terrorist that sits upon the throne of America.  I have to say the timing does seem a little bit coincidental but that's history for you, its full of such events.  Although we are working with a very small sample just ten thousand years of recorded history.

Also in the news is the possibility that Pluto will regain its planet status and the real question is do we really care?  The answer is quite simple until we are using a SatNav in our future spaceships to tell us which gravity well is a planet or not and whether we can do a handbrake turn in orbit without crashing like all those UFOs in conspiracy theories the answer is no.  Okay I admit not that simple.

Okay here's a novel thought how about you GO there and actually look instead of expecting tech to do all the work for you. However that being said if you turn on all the facilities of Google Earth you will spot the 'Green dots' are palm trees and rectangular objects near the 'UFO' are in fact: Guano camp buildings from the late 19th century a bit like this one:

The 'UFO' is probably a left over cart from that was used regularly to transport goods/coconuts from one side of the island back to the camp building creating the tracks. A simple solution really. As for objects moving through water the imagery for that island was taken in 2010 which would suggest that water levels have risen since that camp was abandoned back in the 19th century leaving the cart and the buildings underwater or the more simple solution would be that it was high tide when the images were taken. You can clearly see the sandy beach below the water.

Any dedicated researcher would have spotted this, took me less than a minute.

Okay so you take A4 sheet and make a paper plane, launch the plane and it will fly in roughly a straight line. Fold one of the wing tips up and re-launch it, oh look it turns in circle. Enter a meteor hitting our atmosphere at very very fast speeds, losing mass, heat creates chemicals reactions in whatever the meteor is made up. It is likely to spin and turn, the problem is we rarely see this because of the angles we are viewing them hitting the atmosphere. This lady on Yahoo explains it better: Yahoo Questions

As to the question of why you are seeing so many of these is because we are smack bang in the middle of Geminid meteor shower which happens every December, it actually peaked a couple of days ago and is considered to be the most: "prolific meteor showers of the year" see Geminids Meteors And the best place to look to see them is towards the south Venezuela is quite far south.

The End of the World is Nigh Part II

Many keen observers will have noticed that the world completely failed to end yesterday when Mercury did the hokey cokey in front the Sun. The Sun was not impressed the constant glare was enough to send Mercury on its way.  However you may remember the Youtube prophet did hedge his bets by saying:

...warns that this could be a sign that this could be interpreted as the end times for humanity.

I think that perhaps it is going to be a slow motion disaster and really kick off in sixteen months time (September 2017) when Planet X aka Nibiru is meant to be doing a close flyby.  Closer enough to suck continents off the planet, apparently the US government has built hundred and thirty underground bases in advance of its arrival.  I can only assume they are on parts of the planet where the continents are well and truly stuck to the magna below or perhaps they have some fancy anti-gravity device that keeps them firmly connected to the planet.

What are the origins of Planet X I here you ask, well scroll back to 1846 after the discovery of Neptune when astronomers were wondering whether perhaps there might another planet beyond Neptune.   Planet X (x = unknown) was suggested by Percival Lowell as hypothesis to explain why Uranus and Neptune had discrepancies in their orbits.  A large unseen planet could perhaps account for the irregularities.

Percival Lowell died in 1916 having failed to find his planet, however in 1930 Clyde Tombaugh discovered a planet which was later named Pluto.  Honouring Percival Lowell, as his initials made up the word's first two letters.  As it turned out Pluto could not be Planet X because it was way too small.

Scroll forward to 1989 when Voyager 2 did a flyby of Neptune and it was found that its mass was at least 0.5% less than first thought.  The Jet Propulsion Laboratory recalculated the orbits of Uranus and Neptune, the irregularities vanished and so did Planet X's need to there.  I suppose X could of been elsewhere at the time...bowling perhaps.

Now scroll forward five years and we get The Nibiru cataclysm put forward by a lady called Nancy Lieder who:

...has the ability to receive messages from extraterrestrials from the Zeta Reticuli star system through an implant in her brain. She stated that she was chosen to warn mankind that the object would sweep through the inner Solar System in May 2003...

2003 someone must have got their maths wrong, wow a stupid alien perhaps forgot to move the decimal point.  Working in base 14 must be a pain and then having to convert back to base 10 for us even more stupid folk on planet Earth.

Seriously though my problem is if it just over a year away why has not a single amateur astronomer spotted it yet, except in the form of exceptionally bad Youtube photographs.  In this day and age of modern digital photography you would think they could get one decent shot of it.  Much like all the bad shots of UFOs, Aliens and Elvis.

Apparently it is a massive government cover up (literally), they are using reflective panels in that part of sky so nobody notices.  Who knew?  Apparently the entire Internet but it is a well kept secret!  Except for those bad photographs of course those Men in Black must had turned down the opacity levels to moon someone.

Occam's razor rules and often gives a close shave except in the Chaotic universe of Nibiru where anything can happen.
